Zoolicious and then some!

Wow!  Who would of thunk that a day at the zoo would make the best birthday ever!  We seriously had a fabulous day.  One filled with laughter, joy and awe.  While all of us adults have seen a zoo or two before, it was like magic watching it through the eyes of a small child who has only seen zoo animals in a book.  The cricket's awe was contagious and just beautiful to witness!

First stop at the Oakland Zoo was the elephants!  The joy and awe went into full WOW mode!
We could have stared at the giraffes ALL day long!  Such amazingly beautiful animals. 

This guy was not happy.  AT ALL!!  This picture was taken seconds before he threw the ball at the crowd standing there. Mike did a fabulous job capturing the moment.

Pure joy in a small cake!  Thanks babe for making every second of our birthday the best day ever!
Two year old joy!
The birthday gift that made a little girl smile and smile and smile!  Bike-A!!! 
What an amazing day!  Amazing!  Thank you to our family who made the trek to join us for a beautiful low key, yet wildly fun day, it meant the world to us!  And thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes for my girl and I...it was a day to be thankful for!

Glad you both had such a memorable birthday. And what a beautiful photo that is of Mike and Cricket - just Wow!

What a wonderful, fun birthday together!! Life is so amazing when we look at it through the eyes of our children! Stopping to smell the roses, pick up a rock, look at a bug, all has new meaning an appreciation!

Happy Bday little cricket!!! I am so amazed how old she is getting and she has turned into a beautiful little girl. What a fun day at the zoo!!!

Such an amazing day!!! I LOVE your zoo pictures (especially the giraffe), but my absolute favorite is the pink tutu trike rider!! :o)
