Running
The last week has been a blur! A blur and a blessing! Big J is still out on holiday break until Tuesday and he and I have been having tons of fun hanging out together enjoying the last days of him being my only child. He is so ready for a sister to spoil! He has been such a blessing in getting ready for our trip and for Baby J, helping around the house, giving pointers on stuff to get and doing his chores without being asked. That last one makes my heart warm! :) These last few weeks seem to have been an emotional growth period for my boy, he seems a bit more grounded and more mature. Hard stuff for a mama to watch as it means he is needing me less and less, which of course is a good thing for him. He will always be my sweet baby boy and I'm so proud to be his mom and watch him grow into such a great young man.
Besides the ever changing boy, our house is quickly evolving into a mess of suitcases, all things pink and lists, lists, lists!! Holy moly! My wonderful sister came over yesterday to help me pack for Baby J and we spent the day planning, prepping and just having a good time. We, well actually my sister, got everything in the suitcase that I wanted to bring and I have three pounds to spare!! SO happy! With that done, I can now focus on getting the rest of us packed and work on the remaining 100 things on my lists. Thank you EKH!!!
The week ahead is overflowing already and if it goes any faster than this last week, than I think I'm in trouble! Our days are now all about what was the past and what is the future....this time in three weeks, I'll be holding my daughter.
Lift off - T minus 16 days, 3 hours and 20 minutes.

Sounds like you are doing well..
and things are falling into place..
As for the packing.. well I have it figured out.. when it is my turn.. you can just come over here and help me..
Love ya girly.. have a great week..
I will be checking in on you..
Hugs..
You're doing AWESOME with your packing, Kayce! I can see by your pics you're bringing great things for your little one. Remember you can buy items in China if you forget something. I always tell people, it's most important to bring the meds you need and after that you can usually buy something if you forgot it. Oh...and large size ziploc bags are extremely helpful. We also had the hotels do our laundry, so didn't bring so many clothes for us.
Wow! you are going to be there soon...whoo hoo!
How exciting to see the progress you are making!! Question what are the little containers of things in the bowl in the last picture? Just curious if there is something I don't know about that we need to take. ; )
I am just trying to work on rearranging the playroom and now make it Jon Jon's room/playroom. It is a big room so it should work!
I just can't wait to see Jennifer with you guys!! So wish we were going to be there at the same time. Bummed about that but by you going first you can tell me all about it and what not to pack and what I just have to have!!!
Luv ya,
Jody
I am so impressed... you might have 100 things on your list, but it seems like you have everything under control and VERY ORGANIZED!! Keep up the great work...and have a great week!!
Only 16 more days..>WHOOO HOOOOOO:)
xo,
Lisa
Looking good girl!!! Remember that you can find a lot in China if your suitcase gets too heavy...the main things to bring are meds!!!! Food can be bought there...ziplock bags are a MUST!!! I actually used the really big ones to load up diapers, clothes etc...sucked the air out and made more room in my suitcase...I would also suggest poop bags LOL deodorized LOL
How exciting!!!! This is so exciting!!!!
WOO-hoooo!
Yea! The time will fly by now you will be so busy!
I can't believe how fast the time is flying by....it won't be long now!!!!!!!!! Woo Hoo!
I bet you are loving the fact that Steph, and others, just returned home from the very place you are heading. What a blessing...lots of helpful info and packing tips!
I am jumping for joy!

So...I think we are at the Galatic Peace in Jiangxi. I just received prices for regular rooms vs. suites there. Is that where the last group stayed?
I just found your blog and thanks for sharing!
Congradulations on your referral! We adopted our daughter from China in 2001.
My non-profit recently published a new book on Chinese adoptive parenting.

It can be found on our blog:http://www.dragonsisterhood.blogspot.com
I’m wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing that with your readers.
Thanks!Beckett Gray
