Home from heaven
Day One:
Blowing up the boat, swimming and setting up camp. Our campsite was just a few yards from the lake so we were in pure bliss.
Day Two:
20 mile trip deep into the High Sierras. The views of Yosemite and Mammoth were incredibly breath taking and the four wheeling was a blast. There are so many off the beaten path roads to take we didn't know which one to take, finally decided on one and had a ball.
Day Three:
Let's go for a trek into the Sierras! A six mile hike led us to Upper and Lower Twin Lakes. A long day that came with very sore feet and tired bodies, but worth every step.
Day Four:
Time to start sitting! We rented a pontoon boat and just spent the day on the lake. With water temps of 65-70 we couldn't resist jumping in then just laying around fishing from the boat. A PERFECT day!
Day's Five and Six:
Time spent with family and just enjoying our surroundings. We moved camp grounds and were very lucky to get a spot in the most popular campground right on the lake. My morning coffee with my toes in the water was such a treat! Once the rest of my family arrived, we played games, ate good food and talked about next year's trip which will most likely include a new family member. I'm off to book our trip for next year....I've put together a movie of our trip, it's long, but worth it! Enjoy!
